While Reddit may not be the first place that springs to mind when it comes to metrics, the massively popular site is morphing into a bonafide platform.
And brands are beginning to notice. In fact, Brandwatch has become the first service to provide Reddit analytics.
Reddit all about it
Brandwatch will analyse data and comments pulled from over 130,000 active subreddits.
Reddit prides itself as “the front page of the internet”, so marketers could use Brandwatch’s data to see how much traction events, launches, and activations are gaining.
Talk isn’t cheap
While Reddit sometimes hits the headlines for less than flattering reasons, it's a place users gather and engage in (often) vigorous debates.
This could give marketers an edge in finding out what people think of their product, in candid terms.
Reddit insights are available to existing Brandwatch customers at no extra charge.
Would you use Reddit metrics? Let us know why/why not in the Comments.
