Have you ever want that perfect something but been at a loss to describe how it looks?
Now Pinterest can fill in the gaps with a new visual search tool for web and mobile.
Worth a thousand words?
Pinterest announced the update in a blog post.
"There’s that perfect lamp hiding in a Pin of someone’s living room, or maybe a random street style shot with the exact shoes you’re looking for."
Look and feel
When you spot something in a pin that takes your fancy, you can tap the search tool in the corner of the pin and select the are you're interested in.
Let's say it's a lamp. You can zoom in on the lamp, find out what it's called and discover where it's available.
Search results can be filtered using a variety of tags. For example, for your lamp you could add tags such as "red" and "art deco".
For Pinterest's 100 million users, Christmas might arrived early.
