Pinterest isn't backward about being forward in promoting its growing array of marketing features.
Less that a year after launching, Promoted Videos on Pinterest will now autoplay.
Play along
The update means videos will launch once they appear in the feed.
In an attempt at quality control, Pinterest will charge you less, the more people watch your video.
Screening events
Promoted Videos will now pop up in more parts of Pinterest. They’ll appear in search results, as well as the home feed.
Videos will also be suggested when a users opens a Pin and selects the “More like this” option.
ROI
Pinterest has also juiced up its ROI for marketers. You can retarget users who viewed your Promoted Video, and access data on how long a video was watched, plus how much of it was on the screen.
Finally, Pinterest has partnered with Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings for mobile campaigns, so you can track the age and gender of customers your videos reached.
