Twitter hasn’t taken its foot off the pedal this year, launching new ways to engage, photo filters and Vine Kids.
The latest innovation from Twitterland is good news for marketers – an extended reach for Promoted Tweets.
The Tweetest Thing
Promoted Tweets, which allows advertisers to reach a larger targeted audience, have traditionally only appeared on Twitter.com and its mobile apps.
Now Promoted Tweets are appearing on Flipboard and Yahoo Japan, Twitter explained in a blog post.
Increase the reach
The update makes sense for Twitter. Tweets are virtually ubiquitous online, with some 185 billion tweet impressions recorded for the third quarter of 2014.
There's no reason Twitter can take a cut of the pie by extending the reach of Promoted Tweets.
As Promoted Tweets appear on a greater number of partner sites, it will also give marketers more flexibility when it come to digital campaigns.
