Friends, concerts, festivals, airlines.
You might not have trouble picking the odd man out, but Australian Snapchat users can now get an insight into Qantas life alongside their social snaps as the company joins the platform.
Flying to your phone
The first of the country's airlines to sign up, Qantas is taking an organic approach to Snapchatting.
Cabin crew and ground staff will be given the keys to showcase all sides of the company's operations.
“They will be showcasing what they do on the job every day, often a side of flying that people rarely get to see — like an A380 wheel change, a day in the life of a cabin crew member, or the perspective from a tug driver who pushes back an aircraft,” a Qantas spokesperson said in a statement.
Friendly fun
Snapchat has over 3 million Australians among its 100 million users, and Qantas's first day on the job garnered a respectable 20,000 views.
The move could be a smart one for Qantas if its interesting, relaxed and ad-free content turns Snapchat's younger user base into future customers.
To follow Qantas on Snapchat, search for the username 'qantas'.
