Microsoft has thrown its hat into the scanner app game buy expanding Office Lens for iOS and Android.
It’s a snap
Office Lens allows users to take a picture of a document, then convert it into a variety of electronic elements that work with the Office family.
For example, photos can be morphed into a Word document, PowerPoint slide or PDF that is text-searchable.
Business cards can also be converted into new contacts and added to your address book.
By the numbers?
Office Lens has been available for Windows Phone users since 2014, but is now compatible with Android and iOS devices.
While Office Lens doesn’t exactly re-invent the wheel, it may appeal for heavy Microsoft Office users looking for a more seamless mobile experience.
