Taking a break is just as important as clocking in, though finding the time can be a challenge.
Helping maintain your internal yin and yang is new app Pause.
Pause for thought
Pause is an iOS app designed to help you chill.
It does this in a novel way – by helping you play with blobs on your iPhone screen.
Shape shifting
Inspired by the slow movements of Tai Chi, Pause allows users to explore amorphous shapes on their screen and interact with them in a way intended to promote focus.
And that’s about it. No extra bells or whistles. Just a blob on a screen.
We found that after playing around with Pause’s shapes our focus did improve and we were able, albeit briefly, to pause from the day-to-day tasks.
Which is sometimes all you need to get yourself going.
