Having already opened native commerce to its top creators back in June, Snapchat is now letting them use AR Lenses for shopping.

Now, in unison with the “Shop now” button available in Stories, Nicki Minaj is among the first to use AR Lenses to promote sales of her new album Queen.
In the case of Minaj, users can tap a button within the app to purchase, for $25, the necklace she wore in the Queen music video.
$hrinking userbase
Shoppable Lenses are currently being explored by other big Snapchat names like Cody Ko, David Dobrik, Daquan, the Dolan Twins, Kylie Jenner, and RIPNDIP.
The lenses are seeing an average daily user engagement of around three minutes per day, which is promising, but with a diminished userbase, will it be enough?
Snapchat reported active users shrunk as much as 188 million daily active users from 191 million, according to their second-quarter-earnings.
