Snapchat steamrolls past Twitter

Snapchat continues its status as the new superstar of social.

The four year-old platform has just leapfogged 10 year-old Twitter for daily users.

According to Bloomberg, Snapchat now has 150 million daily users, compared to 140 million tweeters. There were 110 million daily Snapchat users back in December.

Snapchat's star shows no sign of slowing. The platform already attracts more daily video views than Facebook (10 billion vs 8 billion).

The platform has successfully engaged millennials by allowing a range of messaging options, from video to emojis and GIFs.

Moneyball

Snapchat is now approaching social superstars Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. And it's scrambling to release advertising tools to cash in on the upswing.

However if history has taught us anything, it's that social audiences can be fickle.

But that doesn't change the fact that, right now, Snapchat is so hot right now.
