Snapchat’s holiday E-Commerce Ads

Several new e-commerce ad options are on their way to Snapchat, as marketers gear up for a new way to sell.

Along with new shoppable Snap ads, brands are able to import catalogs directly to Snapchat and instantly create product ads.

According to a recent eMarketer report, Snapchat has 16.4 million teen users. That's 3.6 million more than Instagram, and 5 million more than Facebook.  

With features like Snapchat’s new Shoppable Snap Ads, partnered retailers have seen as much as a 17% hike in engagement. Even eBay saw 5X the engagement, while Guess saw a 4.1X boost.

What the pros say

According to senior director of marketing for FabFitFun, “With the launch of Story ads, shoppable lenses and Shoppable Snap ads, we’ve been able to take a full-funnel approach to how we acquire new customers.”

FabFitFun saw a 36% lower cost per acquisition using Snap’s new feature. Snapchat is also launching Snap pixel targeting which monitors tracking data for advertisers to create more customised audiences.

Over 30 new marketing agencies have joined the Snap Partners program, including MuteSix, Lightning Guru, Taktical Digital, Disruptive Advertising, New Engen, Abacus Agency, and Madwire.
