The results are in: SMEs are turning toward Instagram and away from Snapchat, in significant numbers.
There can be only one
A study by Fivver, which analysed the services offering on its platform, discovered that SMEs request information for Instagram services 12X more often than Snapchat queries.
In March this year, Instagram accounted for 32.9% of Fivver’s gigs (its terms for projects), while Snapchat made up just 5%.
It’s also worth noting that Fivver offers six times the amount of Instagram services than it does for Snapchat services.
Growing up fast
However this disparity reflects the more robust ad offerings on Instagram. Being bankrolled by Facebook doesn’t hurt.
Until recently, Snapchat’s advertising only catered to brands with deep pockets. Yet recent updates to ad tools show Snapchat wants to reach a broader base.
But is it too late? Instagram’s year-on-year revenue increased by 27% this year. Snapchat’s decreased by 1.5%.
