Snapchat has revealed new data around how location plays a big part in Snaps being shared.
At the top of the list: parties.
Social spots spur snaps
It turns out it’s not merely interesting locales that are driving snap sharing. Art galleries and museums are not nearly as prevalent as parties according to the latest stats.
The highest usage: Parties 81%, Home 81%, Restaurants 80%, Shows & Movies 73%, Concerts 70%, Mall 67%, School 64%, Cooking 64%.
The lowest usage: Movies at Home 60%, Beach 59%, Amusement Parks 58%, Gym 50%, Airports 49%, Sports Stadiums 41%, Museums 40%, and Offices 34%.
Young versus old
The figures also shed light on the usages between different age demographics. Users between 13 and 21 years of age are snapping less at school (64%) while 22 years and up are snapping less at work (34%).
With shares sitting at 8% lower than its March IPO price, Snapchat will need to pulls more than a few rabbits out of its hat to stay afloat, and ahead of Facebook. Party on.
