It’s virtually impossible to conduct business without email these days, but have a full inbox can be a mixed blessing.
Yes it’s important to be in contact with clients and customers, but it’s equally essential to prioritise and make sense of the clutter.
Thankfully help is at hand with these three tools that will help you tame your inbox today.
Boomerang
Aside from having a cool name, Boomerang is on hand to make sure you never miss an important email.
The service works by allowing you to schedule when you reply to emails. This might mean scheduling a reminder to a colleague, a congratulatory email once a project is finished or sending an email when you’re offline.
You can also set yourself reminders if you don’t receive a response from an email, and schedule recurring emails on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Boomerang works with Gmail, Google Apps and hosted domains, so is ideal for professionals and SMEs looking to keep on top of their inboxes. Android users can also use Boomrang on-the-go.
Sanebox
As the name suggests, Sanebox is here to keep you sane and on the straight and narrow when it come to emails. The service lets you rank emails based on priority, and automatically filters non-urgent correspondence into a folder called @SaneLater.
If you receive emails from Cloud services like DropBox, Sanebox will scan your emails and replace any attachments with a link, reducing your inbox storage.
Finally, Sanebox also features the nifty @SaneBlackHole, a folder where you can divert unwanted or unsolicited emails. Any further correspondance from these senders will automatically be sent to the trash.
Unroll.Me
Subscribed to a bunch of e-newsletters but don’t have time to read them all? Unroll.Me is the tool for you.
Unroll.Me works by letting you select all the email subscriptions you're signed up to and collates them together in one daily digest. You can also unsubscribe from unwanted emails with a click.
Great for time-poor professionals who need to keep connected.
