Video's quite the buzzword on social these days, with the ongoing battle between Vine and Instagram, YouTube continuing to monetise and Facebook preparing to launch video ads.
But if you're a brand, how can you best make use of consumers' increasing thirst for video content? These three apps will help pave the way to social cinematic success.
Most people are either Vine or Instagram fans, but we're backing Instagram when it comes to moving images.
Instagram's 15 second video loop is more than double that of Vine's, giving you more time (relatively speaking) to get your brand's message across. Plus inbuilt editing tools make completing you mini-masterpiece a breeze.
If you're still in doubt, Instagram is one of the fastest growing platforms on the planet.
Viddy
Viddy is a free app that lets you add Instagram-like filters to videos, plus has the added feature including a soundtrack.
In addition to the usual editing features Viddy lets you create stop-motion videos and has an impressive social ecosystem that includes major sports teams and celebrities like Rhianna and Justin Bieber.
Finally, Viddy is pushing the bounds by letting you shoot videos up to 30 seconds in length.
YouTube Capture
Capture is YouTube's official video-editing app and contains a range of easy-to-use features. Capture lets you shoot and edit videos directly from your smartphone or tablet in high definition and includes colour correction, image stabilisation and music tracks.
Once your video is complete Capture lets you instantly upload and share on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
