Back in February Twitter launched analytics platform SocialRank.
Now SocialRank has undergone a massive overhaul to give brands greater insights into their followers.
Follow the leader
SocialRank originally allowed brands to view and rank their followers based on influence and engagement.
Now brands can drill down deeper and discover data about followers such as location and keyword searches.
This would help when a brand is launching a campaign and wants to target users interested in, for example, football and sports in Sydney.
Reaching out
The update comes on the back of a successful few weeks for Twitter. First the platform experienced a huge boost from the World Cup, then revealed higher than expected earnings and user growth.
If Twitter can give brands more reasons to understand their followers, and hopefully advertise, it will keep the ball rolling.
