Twitter is preparing to launch an Instant Timeline that will allow first time users to jump straight into Twitter without having to follow other accounts.
#Instantkarma
Twitter CEO Dick Costolo revealed the plans in a recent speech to investors, explaining Twitter aims to have the largest daily audience in the world.
It's predicted that by streamlining the journey to tweet, Twitter may encourage more users to become active – something the platform currently struggles with.
While Twitter's monthly active users now number 284 million (marking a 52 million year-on-year increase), over 500 million unique users visit Twitter and Twitter properties but don't log in.

To keep up the engagement, Twitter is also preparing to launch While Your Were Away, a feature that shows part-time users the best tweets since their last visit.
But Twitter's not done yet. Costolo revealed that his company is also tinkering with new apps, similar to Vine, that will further streamline sign-up, offer greater search capabilities and curated content.
