Looking for more relevant real-time content on Twitter? Your odds have just improved thanks to Curator.
See and ye shall tweet
Twitter has just launched Curator, a service designed to help media outlets, broadcasters, local government, publishers, and even concert venues more easily locate, curate and present tweets and Vine videos in real-time on the web, mobile or TV.
“Whether it’s Fashion Week, the Cricket World Cup or a TV show finale, surfacing great Twitter content in key moments is a powerful catalyst for engaging audiences and igniting conversations,” Twitter Product Manager Matt Dennebaum wrote.
Needle in the haystack
The free service gives users a variety of powerful filtering tools, allowing for both simple and advanced keyword and hashtag queries when searching for content.
Twitter used the example of Italian TV network Mediaset, who used Curator to display real-time reactions of viewers to a reality show.
Drill down
Curator also allows users to drill down fairly deep into its data and search via metrics including follower count, locations and languages.
For more advanced options, users have the option of working with Twitter Certified Partners such as Flowics and Livefyre.
In terms of owning the lucrative real-time space, Curator looks like a big plus for Twitter in 2015.
