Twitter has just launched the Twitter Media blog, a hub that will report innovative ways Twitter is being used across a variety of mediums.
Top tweets
The blog was announced by the @twittermedia team – in a tweet, of course.
“We want to shine a light on much of your great work and inspire more.
“From the worlds of TV, sports, journalism, government, music, movies, social good and beyond, we’ll highlight some of the most compelling and affecting things on Twitter that catch our eye,” wrote Twitter Media Team’s Head of Global Operations, Ben Grossman in a blog post.
#Trending
Besides highlighting creative uses and campaigns on Twitter, the blog will also include updates on new features and products, as well as provide tips for maximising impact on Twitter.
Users can subscribe to the blog via RSS, Twitter Media email newsletters or follow any @twittermedia account.
Learning curve
With tweets being generated so rapidly (400 million a day) it makes sense for Twitter to create a space where premium content can be shared. It also brings Twitter up to speed with similar services from Google inside Search and Facebook Stories.
While the Twitter media blog is ostensibly for media partners, it may also prove a valuable resource for marketers looking for new ways Twitter can be used to connect.
