Reports of Yahoo's death have been greatly exaggerated.
While the venerable internet player may not enjoy the top billing it once did, Yahoo continues to maintain a massive audience and features to boot.
The latest is a clever little update to Yahoo Mail.
Don't return to sender
Yahoo Mail now turns hyperlinks into visual informative cards intended to give the recipient additional information about the email. For example, links to a video or pictures from your recent trip to Thailand.
Recipients can view the card before opening an email featuring the souped-up hyperlinks.
Clicking on the info card allows you to play video and audio directly from the email on desktop.
Links can also feature prices of products, and be shared via social.
Moving pictures
While Yahoo continues to have mixed fortunes, its commitment to improving Mail continues.
The service was overhauled last year, and users can now sign up to Yahoo Mail from their Gmail account.
