In its ongoing efforts to make sure we love Live video as much as it does, Facebook has launched closed captions for the service.

Publishers can now include closed captions on all Facebook Live videos.
Once you’ve turned your captioning settings to On, they will appear automatically.
Facebook says the captions will appear “when they’re available”, which is a little unclear.
Be kind, don’t Rewind
The update will make Live videos more accessible for users who are hearing impaired, while also making Live videos more watchable as background content.
Facebook’s big investment in Live is slowly bearing fruit. Over the past year watch time for Live broadcasts has increased fourfold, and 20% of all videos on Facebook are now Live.
And for those who prefer old fashioned pre-recorded videos, you also have the ability to add captions. This can either be done manually, or by using Facebook’s speech recognition service.
Do you use Facebook Live for marketing? Let us know how it went in the Comments.
