As we move towards the end of summer, there's still plenty of time to do a bit of social spring cleaning.
Today we’re looking at three ways to improve your profile on LinkedIn in 2015.
1. Complete your profile
It sounds like a no-brainer, but it’s surprising how many LinkedIn profiles remain incomplete, potentially missing out on greater visibility.
To make things easier, LinkedIn informs you (on the right hand side of the Profile Page) what percentage of your profile is complete. Make sure you get up to 100%, filling out relevant work history and skill sets.
If you’re having trouble coming up with some buzzwords, check out what your competition say about themselves.
2. Pay it forward
Endorsing is not just a nice thing to do, it’s socially savvy.
Endorsements, where you recommend skills in other users, are one of the most popular features on the platform.
The next time you're linking in be sure to share a few endorsements. You might just be repaid in kind.
3. Create and target
While LinkedIn might not have the engagement of a Facebook or Instagram, it remains the place where professionals mingle online.
With this in mind consider creating relevant content for the platform. And before you post make sure you access LinkedIn’s robust audience targeting tool, so you’re posting your pearls of wisdom to the right connections.
