Pinterest has announced that advertisers of all sizes can access Search Ads via its Ads Manager service.
Target acquired
Last January, the popular interest social network had introduced search targeting through keyword campaigns for select brands.
The test run produced more than 2 billion monthly searches, with 97% being unbranded. This led to Pinterest to open up to brands to reach audiences with more precision.
The introduction of Taste Graph, which targets functionality, is the backbone behind Search Ads allowing for:
- Matching phrases and keywords with more specificity.
- Excluding negative terms overlapping with keyword searches.
- Search term reports.
New search makes connections
The new auto-targeting preliminary tests allowed advertisers to present their ads to users searching ideas relevant to a desired product.
Stainmaster, Carnival Cruise Line, and Wayfair are among the testing brands that have seen positive results in using Search Ads, with lower costs per click ranging from 71% to 90%.
