Not all days are equal when it comes to email marketing – at least according to an exhaustive new report.

The Email Benchmark Report from Yes Lifecycle Marketing analysed 7 billion emails sent from brands across 10 industries including consumer services, entertainment, hospitality, and finance.
It turns out emails sent on Fridays enjoy the highest average engagement. Among the industries surveyed, marketing brands see the highest engagement on the final day of the working week.
Interestingly, emails sent of Saturdays see the highest conversion rates.
Across the board, emails sent by the insurance industry have the highest engagement rates.
While B2B brands score the lowest when it comes to engagement (11.5%), they also see the highest click-to-open rates (19.3%).
