Facebook is cracking down big time on low-quality and misleading web pages.
Here’s what you need to know.
False Advertising
Since 2016 Facebook’s policy has prevented businesses with low-quality web page experiences advertising on the platform.
Now Facebook is extending its enforcement into organic posts in the News Feed.
Keep it clean
To keep on the straight and narrow, Facebook recommends avoiding the following actions:
· A disproportionate volume of ads relative to content.
· Feature sexually suggestive or shocking content.
· Link to Pages that contain malicious or deceptive ads, which include prohibited content.
· Pop-up ads or interstitial ads.
Glass half full
The good news if that if you’re among the vast majority of advertisers who don’t subscribe to these shady practices, you might see an engagement bump once the new rules kick in over the coming months.
