As part of a broader push to give Facebook Groups the full meal deal, admins now get their very own pixel.
Strength in Numbers
Like the regular Facebook pixel, the addition will let admins track user behaviour after clicking on a post.
This info will be displayed on the Groups' Insights Page, and can be accessed by Group admins. At this stage, only groups with 250 members or more are eligible for the pixel.
Community cash
Until recently, much of Facebook's interest around Groups has been benignl, with the aim of getting back to the platform's communal origins.
However Facebook has gradually been rolling out more monetisation options for Groups, (such as subscriptions), where engagement levels are typically higher.
The addition of the the Facebook pixel could mean marketers finally start to take an interest in a gander of Groups. Will you?
