Facebook is introducing new tools to aid publishers and developers in creating more efficient Facebook Live broadcasts.
Reaching audiences with better tools
The improved tools include of a new automated encoder configuration and frame-accurate start times. The former boasts enhanced encoder settings, to improve Facebook Live streams.
While frame-accurate start will help publishers better determine when a Live API broadcast is accessible to audiences, allowing for a countdown clock and more specificity as to when a video goes live.
All Facebook publishers can access
The new Live API features can be accessed within the broadcast setup dashboard, which will also enable publishers to work with video solutions providers on incorporating the recent updates.
The updates could bring more brands over to Live, which so far has been more popular with users and celebs than advertisers.
