An update to the Facebook status box lets users share personal lists.
An itinerary of You
Favourite restaurants, To Do’s, travel destinations – whatever you like, users can now post emoji-laden personal manifestos, complete with stylised backgrounds, thanks to List.
The new feature builds on the platforms launch of coloured backgrounds over a year ago, adding a bit of eye-catching flare to info you’d like to share with your friends.
But it's not just about you, other users can copy and re-share your list, adding their own opinions or creating their own complementary list.
“What’s on your mind?”
Within the status window itself, users will notice the new List option along side Check In, Feeling/Activity, GIF, Photo, and Polls.
The new offering is meant to continue Facebook’s facilitation of more personal interaction through the platform, encouraging users to stay up to date with the interests of friends.
Facebook has seen some decline in numbers, losing as many as 2.8 million in 2017 and expecting to lose 2.1 million more through 2018, but upping the quality of social media could reinvigorate those numbers.
Have you found the new List status to be of value? Will this bolster more use? Give us your thoughts in the comment section below.
