Last year Facebook launched Local Awareness Ads, aimed at helping retailers connect with nearby customers.
Now Facebook has released two updates intended to make targeting smarter.
Local legends
Aimed at businesses with multiple locations, the first update lets businesses add bespoke copy using the Locations for Page feature.
This means that a restaurant with various locations can create individual ads and specials for each of its venues.
Insightful update
The other update comes in the form of enhanced analytics. Business can now access the Page Insights tab to see all sorts of juicy data, including aggregate demographics and trends among nearby users.
Information includes user gender and age, as well as the busiest days of the week in the local area.
Facebook says this will help businesses better understand and service their local clientele.
