Users browsing Facebook Marketplace will notice they can now search thousands of home services through a new feature.
Home is where the market is
From cleaners, contractors, plumbers, and more, Facebook will help locate top-rated and certified professionals.
Appearing in Facebook Marketplace, contractors will be populated with data provided through the social network’s partners, such as Handy, HomeAdvisor, and Porch.
The idea arose after Facebook noticed home services were among the top questions users would ask each other.

According to Bowen Pan, Product Manager at Facebook, “By partnering with Handy, HomeAdvisor, and Porch, people will now have a place on Marketplace to find the right professional…”
Users will have access to a professionals’ ratings, reviews, credentials, and location. It will also be possible to request quotes and allowing for job bids based by project.
Service pros will be able to respond by Messenger and efficiency reigns supreme. Bringing familiar app usage into the home improvement game could set a new standard for service-to-client relations.
