Who says we can't all just get along? In the spirit of social cooperation, Facebook Messenger has just released an Uber-related update.
Born to Ride
Messenger users can now book an UberPOOL ride directly from the app.
To get riding, you start a conversation in Messenger then select the three-dot menu button.
After clicking 'Request a Ride' you can choose to either Uber solo, or with a friend.
Uber update
While the functionality isn't vastly different or improved from the regular Uber app, it could make it easier to ride share with friends – and possible save some cash along the way.
The increased engagement on Messenger and Uber could also help their coffers as well. Everyone's a winner.
The feature could also presumably tie in with Facebook features such as Events, further down the track.
