While Facebook owns many profitable properties, they don't always play together that well. This might be about to change with the announcement of a unified inbox.
Stay on Message
Facebook Pages, Instagram, and Messenger now share a common inbox, via the Pages Manager mobile app.
The tabbed interface shows all your social stuff in one place, including Facebook comments and posts, reviews, messages, and Instagram comments.
There's also info about the users who have contacted you.
Brand time
The update could make it much easier for brands to stay in touch with clients, offer timely customer support, and respond more efficiently to queries.
The inbox will roll out in the coming weeks, and can be found by tapping the messaging icon at the bottom of your Page in the Pages Manager app.
