Martech Mashup: Oracle Marketing Cloud

Oracle has beefed up its Content Marketing and B2B marketing automation platforms. The new additions are intended to help marketers better create and distribute content and map customer behaviour.

New Content Portal

Oracle’s new Content Portal automates the sourcing, tracking and distribution of approved content. It can be embedded into third-party applications or pages.

Marketers and salespeople can search for content by ‘Sales Stage’, ‘Buyer Persona’ and ‘Content Type’, as well as by custom fields, ensuring they get the most relevant content possible. Users can subscribe to content that is relevant for them and the portal notifies them as soon as new content is available.

Eloqua Boosted

Eloqua—Oracle’s popular lead and campaign management toolset—has also been given a power up.

A new addition called ‘Program Canvas’ lets users establish workflows to turn source data into usable info and sets up tables in relational databases.

The new ‘Listener Framework’ supports data workflows that automatically respond to new user contacts and new models for lead scoring.

More to Come

The need for responsive content continues to grow, so Oracle’s ‘Responsive Content Editor’—slated for release in early 2017—will likely be welcomed by Marketing Cloud users.

Its responsive templates promise to streamline the creation of content that works across devices. Oracle has targeted their new tool at non-technical marketers.

They say it will facilitate the creation of interactive content that displays properly across devices without any need for coding knowledge.

Competitive Cloud

As Oracle expands the Marketing Cloud offering, it aims become increasingly indispensable to corporates who already depend it, and more of a temptation to those who don’t.

Oracle claim that their next-gen integration capabilities have reduced the steps needed to manage and maintain data.

Their focus on user-friendly additions has the potential to broaden access to technologically enhanced sales and marketing methods.
