Facebook is rolling out a host of new features for publishers to make the most of their Facebook Live content.
Facebook Live: Tips
Going Live continues to remain a popular means to generate buzz around a brand, which is why Live content has increased 1.5X since 2017. Now Facebook is sharing its latest improvements.
At the top of the list is persistent stream keys. Publishers who use Live API on a regular basis will now be provided a consistent stream key rather than generating a new one every time.
And getting the word out there is all the more efficient with Live Crossposting, allowing publishers to broadcast a single stream across multiple Pages simultaneously.
Success so far
The new tools have already been tested with World Surf League and have seen over 1.5M views and 4500 Shares, with over 538K minutes consumed with their Surfing Sundays crosspost.
The Brazilian variety program Multishow has seen 40% more retention than any other show within the last three months, with interaction more than double their previous Live video statistics.
With functions like “Live rewind” also being offered, it would seem practicality is the theme of Facebook’s latest additions. As online networks continue to mature so should the cogs that keep the content churning.
