Facebook is testing a second, alternative News Feed for mobile users.
Multiple sources
Select Facebook users have reported seeing a rocket ship icon on their iOS or Android devices, which leads to a second News Feed.
This feed looks and feels just like the regular one, except the content comes from Pages and profiles you haven't Liked.
Crapshoot?
The phantom News Feed content isn't random – it appears to be tailored around your current interests, and similar Pages you've Liked.
Users have also seen posts popular with their Facebook friends surface, and geographically-linked content.
While there's no official word from Facebook, a second curated News Feed could potentially be of benefit for users looking for fresh content, as well as a new place for marketers to play.
Is there room in your life for more than one News Feed? Let us know in the Comments?
