Another week, another Facebook mobile update.
This time Facebook is testing a new way for brands to deliver in-app ads.
App-etite for instruction
Facebook is trialling a feature delivering users ads after downloading certain apps, with the intention of converting downloads into purchases.
For example, a hotel booking app might display available rooms based on a user's location.
Mo’ money
The update comes as Facebook looks to monetise its increasingly mobile audience.
Users can already download apps directly from the News Feed, and even send money to one another through Messenger.
If a wider roll out happens these “install ads” might prove another way marketers can convert curious users into paying customers.
