In honour of the recent International Women’s Day, Facebook reached beyond its usual marketing to bring practical tools to professional women the world over.
Getting to business
Facebook’s latest Community Finder tool is tailored for their #SheMeansBusiness program and strives to connect female entrepreneurs and women-owned business throughout 23 countries.
Launched in 2016 in partnership with the Lean In organisation, the program is meant to aid professional women develop resources and share advice.
Coupled with practical tips on creating effective Facebook ads, there are Facebook Blueprint business courses available to help improve on the existing skill sets of motivated businesswomen.

Furthermore, Facebook will also be holding “Open Door” events throughout Facebook offices around the world, creating workshops and networking nights.
They’ve also launched a “Credit Her” campaign, highlighting female professionals that never got their proper recognition the first time around, such as “Battle of the Sexes” tennis star Billie Jean King, polar explorer Jade Hameister, and Blues legend Big Mama Thornton.
Empowering themed backgrounds, cards, and photo frames are planned to be made available to Messenger for a bit of fun. Inclusivity seems to be the main drive, and a culture shift that everyone can get behind.
