A few months back Facebook launched the Page Plugin, which allows Page owners to embed and promote Facebook Pages on their website.
A new update now lets retailers more effectively connect with clients and promote events.
Turn the Page
Facebook announced the update in a blog post, explaining that customers can now send messages directly from their Facebook inbox.
These message will appear in either the retailer's Facebook Messenger app or desktop plugin.
This might help when users place an order, but want to make amendments or have additional queries.
An Eventful Update
Facebook also updated Page Plugin's event integration.
This means that if a retailer is managing an event on their Facebook Page, this info will now be automatically displayed on their website.
Customers can also subscribe to events, while the Plugin suggests events based on user location.
This update could make retailer's websites more social and engaged places, as users can see which events their Facebook friends are attending.
