Google has unveiled its dedicated URL submission feature within Search Console, allowing updated URLs to show directly in search results.
Google's new service
With the addition of Google’s new service, users can submit URLs straight to the Google index, but that’s not the final step.
Google does not guarantee the addition of all submitted URLs as updates will need to be vetted and cleared, a process which has not been fully disclosed.
I am not a robot
Users will still need to pass a basic Captcha as a part of the URL submission process before updates can be incorporated into the index.
It's unclear as to when Google initially released this new tool but the update has met positive feedback from users and web page clients.
Streamlining the process and offering guaranteed results seems to be a ways away but its certainly a progressive move towards stronger indexing.
