Google Apps is a big money earner for Google, providing a range of services such as cloud storage for businesses.
Now Google wants to sweeten the deal with Google Enterprise Partner Search, a new service designed to link businesses with a local expert – and authorised reseller – of Google Apps.
An enterprising solution
Google announced the new feature via a blog post earlier this week.
Amit Singh, Vice President of Google Enterprise said the new feature was designed for businesses who were current users or considering the value of Google Apps.
“We’re making it simpler for you to find the local, specialized, and trusted help you may need with the new Google Enterprise Partner Search.”
Customer service
Users visiting the Google Enterprise Partner Search website and enter their location and type of query. Google then matches the query with the nearest authorised Google App reseller.
Resellers can assist with technical support and setting up new products. While Google doesn't list prices for the reseller's services, presumably these are calculated depending on the level of support.
Searching for profit
By making it easier for businesses to receive customised support, Google is aiming to its expanding suite of apps more appealing than rival services from Microsoft and Apple.
