RAMS Rocks with Raymond

Finance company RAMS has launched 'Rock with Raymond', a Facebook competition asking users to audition for a spot in brand ambassador Raymond's new band The Rams.

Music and lyrics

The competition is run via Raymond A Ram's Facebook Page and features a YouTube video of Angry Anderson auditioning for The Rams.

Users can submit their own audition video for the chance to win $5000 in a RAMS Saving account (and online glory).

RAMS fans who are more sheepish can go in the running to win $200 by suggesting a new rap name for Raymond.

Financing via Facebook

RAMS has operated Raymond A Ram's Facebook Page 12 months and page currently has over 7000 fans.

Rock with Raymond is the largest social media campaign RAMS has run to date, and follows the trend of large financial institutions moving towards interactive campaigns to attract consumers.

CommBank recently met mixed response from its Ode to Can campaign, while NAB recently ran the successful 'NAB Stand-Ins' in the lead up to the AFL Grand Final.

Channels

Rock with Raymond runs until November 12 and is being promoted through Facebook advertising, the @RAMS_AU Twitter account using the #raymondrocks hashtag and radio promotion.
