Instagram is adding a new shopping tag to the their popular Explore page.
Something in the wind
You may have noticed a fresh new shopping tab in the Explore section that allows users to thumb through dedicated feeds pertaining to shoppable merchandise.
What’s more, users can make purchases from Stories by simply tapping on the merchandise itself. Nothing wrong with a bit of efficiency.
The hard numbers
Instagram reports that 90 million monthly users tap posts regularly to reveal shopping tags, and more than 25 million businesses have already created Instagram accounts.
With so much interest from sellers and consumers passing through various Facebook IPs, it makes sense they are trying to tap into the e-shopping market from every angle.
