LinkedIn passes 500 million members

Ever since being acquired by Microsoft last year, LinkedIn has gone from strength to strength.
 
The latest milestone: 500 million professionals are now linked in.

Half a Bil and counting

LinkedIn’s half a billion members are spread over 200 countries, and collectively represent over 10 million active jobs and over 9 million companies.

This community is also fairly industrious, publishing 100,000 articles every week.

More the merrier

LinkedIn says every connection reflects an average of 400 new people you can be introduced to, and 100 new companies.
 
A LinkedIn connection also equates to access for 500+ jobs.

Global family

The five most connection countries on LinkedIn are the UAE, the Netherlands, Singapore, the UK, and Denmark.
 
While the top five connected industries are Staffing and Recruiting, Venture Capital and Private Equity, HR, Management Consulting, and Online Media.
