MailChimp is doing more with e-commerce. Existing integrations are getting a mini-bundle of new functionality, and there’s a couple of fully-fresh ones to boot.
BigCommerce, Ubercart & Drupal Commerce
Users of these three popular suites can now get a bit extra from their MailChimp integrations, including auto-enabled popup forms and product retargeting emails.
BigCommerce users get more on top of that, adding abandoned cart messaging and ad campaign tracking to the mix. If you’re already using BigCommerce, you’ll have to reinstall the integration to unlock the new functions.
New to the Chimp: Miva & BigCartel
The new iteration of Miva’s shopping cart platform comes with MailChimp integration baked right in. With it, Miva merchants can automatically send abandoned cart emails, as well as product suggestions. It looks like specific emails can be triggered from directly within Miva, with no need to visit MailChimp at all.
Big Cartel is also now able to integrate smoothly with MailChimp. Already very popular with clothing, crafts and record labels in the USA, Big Cartel subscribers will now get extra MailChimp metrics and they’ll be able to semi-automate follow-up campaigns to customers who buy through their Big Cartel shop.
Does campaign integration influence your choice of e-commerce platform? Does e-commerce integration influence your choice of campaign software?
