Dropbox has just released some new tools aimed at making working in the cloud easier for businesses.

Badge of honour

The Dropbox Badge for desktop lets you see when colleagues are working on the same Office file on their own computer.

This aims to help you avoid saving over each other's work.

Imagination

Previewing images and files is also easier. Dropbox now lets you preview virtually any kind of file, even if you don't have the correct software installed.

You can also add comments anywhere on these file previews.

Mobile movement

Finally, Dropbox has souped up its mobile muscle.

The plus button in the Dropbox iOS app lets you create Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files directly from your phone or tablet.
