SocialRank has launched Realtime, a tool to help marketers react to trends and reach customers in – you guessed it – real time.
In the moment
While there are plenty of tools that let you monitor social chatter for buzzwords, Realtime aims to uncover tweets around "wants" and "needs".
Realtime uses a mix of machine learning and AI to find these diamonds in the digital rough.
For example, users wanting a coffee, or complaining about a missed flight. Posts can be filtered by location. At the moment the categories are limited to food and beverage, entertainment, and travel.
Pay it forward
Realtime pulls these tweets into a dashboard where you can delve into more data around featured users, to see if an intervention might be the right move.
For example, one company provided students with Starbucks gift cards ahead of mid-terms exams. Or a fashion retailer offered clothing to users who tweeted about what to wear to Coachella.
While real-time social monitoring isn't new, SocialRank's proactive approach could be a boon for marketers wanting to pay it forward, and dial up some #goodkarma at the same time.
