They say variety is the spice of life – a philosophy Microsoft has adopted with its latest update to note-taking app OneNote.
Duly Noted
OneNote has just released an importer tool, which allows Mac users to seamlessly shift all their data, such as contacts and notes, from rival Evernote for Mac directly into OneNote.
The move comes as Evernote faces a number of challenges, including losing several VPs and the shut down of extended eco-system features such as Evernote Food and Skitch.
Smack down
The blatant grab isn’t subtle, nor is it the first time Microsoft has aggressively targeted Evernote’s user base.
Back in March Microsoft rolled out a similar feature for Windows users. That resulted in 71 million users transporting to OneNote.
And for those that are curious: Evernote Premium and Office 365 are now both priced at US$69.99 per month.
