Optimise your LinkedIn Company Profile

LinkedIn is big news, especially in the business world.

It may not be as sexy as Facebook, but with 4 million members and 43,000 companies represented on LinkedIn in Australia alone, there's no better way to network online.

Bearing that in mind, we've put together three easy ways to help optimise you your LinkedIn Company Page – so you can start connecting today.

Post content regularly

It's all well and good to set up a LinkedIn Company Page, but like a garden it needs to be tended.

Posting content regularly is an excellent way to build up a community of followers, while establishing your Company Page as a producer of quality content.

Bear in mind LinkedIn users tend to be early risers, with the latest stats showing early morning posts receive the most traction. If you're publishing multiple posts per day it's a good idea to schedule them through a service like Hootsuite

Join a Group

LinkedIn Groups is one of the most popular features on the platform, and a great way to connect with like-minded professionals.

There are currently over 2 million Groups on LinkedIn covering hundred of disciplines and interests, while 8000 new Groups are created every week and 200 conversations occur every minute across LinkedIn Groups.

LinkedIn users who engage in Group discussions get an average of four times as many profile views.

Stay on target

LinkedIn now lets you add attachments like photos and files to your posts, as well as targeting your posts to specific user and company groups.

Attaching an image with a hyperlink can help your post stand out from the crowd, while targeting posts to certain user groups means more you're posting more relevant content, which should lead to more active engagement.
