Facebook wants to allow users to automatically post across platforms, thanks to their latest test feature.
Post-to-post coverage
Crossposting has become a trend at Facebook HQ, and the rumours are proving true as updates to crosspost from Pages to Instagram has come to fruition.
Still in testing, the feature was first spotted by social expert Mari Smith.
Facebook has gradually been pushing integration across all its most popular platforms. However it should be noted that the crosspost feature will only support single photo posts, at least to begin with.
A tricky handshake
One fly in the proverbial ointment is the difference in formatting between both platforms, which could lead to template issues.
Some features, such as links and polls, are not available on Facebook and could conflict with what is currently available for editing via Instagram. It’s a burden users will just have to bear for now.
The winds of integration are blowing harder than ever, and expect more additionals in the coming months. What’s good for the Face-goose is good for the Insta-gander.
