Snapchat is one of the most engaging and fastest-growing digital platforms, with more than 100 million global daily active users and 10 billion videos watched daily.
The fast-evolving platform has recently launched one of its biggest features in Australia: On-Demand geofilters.
Filter fast
On-Demand geofilters allow anyone, including businesses, to create and publish customised filters for users to add to their snaps in a specific area, for a set time.
Brands and business can use geofilters to promote retail events & new store openings, product launches, brand awareness campaigns or launch parties.
Filters start from $5. Pricing is based on geofence selected and duration. The longer the time period selected, the more expensive the filter becomes.
How do Geo-filters work?
To create your geofilter, simply upload your design at the self-serve tool, allocate the timeframe and set a geofence for your filter.
A geofilter can be active from one hour to 30 consecutive days, while you can geofence between 20,000 and 5 million square feet.
Brands and logos are permitted, but you are not allowed to include hashtags or URLs in the filter.
The turnaround for review is 24 hours, and metrics are available one day after the campaign has ended.
Why should I Snap?
On-Demand geofilters are an exciting and affordable way to communicate with new audiences, where the user is the hero and the brand the conduit.
In partnership with SMK, Online Circle Digital has produced a step-by-step guide on how to create your On-demand geofilter.
