Snapchat has found another way to capitalise on the popularity of Lens, with a new feature that does more than alter your voice.
Fun with sound
Where your typical Snapchat Lens responds to facial gestures, like eyebrows and mouth movement, this latest endeavour is triggered by various components of speech.
Amongst an already robust catalogue of Lenses it's difficult for Snapchat to stay innovative, but adding sound to the equation does add a fun dimension.
Users can already perform airbrush touch-ups and add animations, while businesses can launch brand sponsored Lenses.
What’s available
So far Snapchat has sampled a Lens that gives users neon teddy ears that expand, depending on how loud you speak with the filter engaged.
The final product is planned to also alter the user's voice, which is very much in line with Snapchat’s current offerings.
Do you use the current catalogue of Lenses? What are your thoughts on audio sensitive filters? Let us know in the comments.
